Paula's Choice!

Truth is, most BHA products aren’t formulated at the pH level needed to penetrate pores well. Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid is an exception! I'm seeing clearer, younger skin and smaller pores (a biggie for me!) Try it for yourself with a 20% off code (PRBHA16) at PaulasChoice.com!

Nine weeks!

How far along are you? 9 weeks
How big is baby? Green olive
Weight gain/loss? Last time I checked it was about 4 pounds.
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep: I really wish this “so tired I want to die” phase would pass…
Maternity clothes? Not so far but my jeans are feeling a little tight
Best moment this week? Getting an extra hour of sleep!
Gender? Still think it's a boy
Labor Signs: Nope
Movement? Nope
Belly button? Innie
Symptoms? Fatigue and sore boobs, nausea if I’m hungry
Cravings? Wendy’s chili.  Mmmmm.
What do I miss? Fitting into my bras.  Sigh.
What I'm looking forward to this week? Weather today is supposed to be nice!
Milestones? None really.  Still feeling good though!
Weekly Wisdom: Some commercials just should not be made.

Six weeks!

How far along are you? 6 weeks
How big is baby? Sweet pea
Weight gain/loss? Haven't stepped on a scale.  Feel pretty good though!
Stretch marks? Not so far.  I fear for my boobs.
Sleep: Still insanely tired
Maternity clothes? And my mom said she has purchased MORE things.  She really needs to stop doing that.
Best moment this week? Michigan State beating Michigan for the Paul Bunyan trophy!  FOUR YEARS RUNNING BABY!
Gender? Still think it's a boy
Labor Signs:  Nope
Movement? Nope
Belly button? Innie
Symptoms? Fatigue and sore boobs, and now the occasional bout of nausea if I'm hungry
Cravings? None thus far
What do I miss? Caffeine :(
What I'm looking forward to this week? Playing The Sims 3 Pets!
Milestones? Halfway through the first trimester!
Weekly Wisdom: Sometimes, days are just meant for pajamas, popcorn and a good book or movie.  Today is one of those days.

Five weeks!

How far along are you? 5 weeks
How big is baby? Appleseed
Weight gain/loss? Probably gained a pound or two of bloat.
Stretch marks? Not so far, but if my boobs grow any more that might change ._.
Sleep: Oh my god the exhaustion!
Maternity clothes? My mom already bought me a shirt. She’s ridiculous.
Best moment this week? Telling my friends at our monthly Girls’ Night. They were so excited!
Gender? Convinced it’s a boy. Chinese gender prediction calendar agrees!
Labor Signs:  I would hope none, yet!
Movement? None, baby still soooo wittle.
Belly button? Innie
Symptoms? Fatigue and sore boobs
Cravings? None thus far
What do I miss? UNPASTURIZED APPLE CIDER.  We went to the cider mill and I was so sad.
What I'm looking forward to this week? The Michigan-Michigan State game.  Go Green!
Milestones? I’m past the first month!  Wee!
Weekly Wisdom: Don’t take anything for granted.  I have a friend who just lost her father to cancer, and they’ve only known about it a couple months.  He got to be there to walk her down the aisle, which is beyond amazing, but he was definitely taken too soon.

Welcome!

My name is Calli, and as evidenced by the nice BFP my DH and I got on our anniversary this year, I'm going to be a mama!  A Spartan mama!  DH and I are devoted MSU Spartan fans (Go Green!) and no doubt our baby is destined to be showered in green and white.

So far our story is short and sweet.  We were married two years ago, on October 3rd, which actually happened to be the Michigan-Michigan State game that year (really, we are devoted fans!  We just didn't look up the date!) and it was at home, even.  Needless to say, we had some disgruntled attendants!  None more so than my father, a UM fan, who had to swallow down his planned speech that included something snarky about Michigan when in fact they LOST in overtime.

Good thing MSU won, because we'd planned to enter the reception to the fight song.  That would have been a little awkward otherwise.

Fast forward two years, and we decided in about May to come off BC and begin TTC in September.  My cycles were a little irregular, but not terribly so (28 days, 27 days, 23 days, 21 days) but we definitely didn't expect it to happen on the first try.  We found out in Chicago, on our 2nd anniversary.  I'd tossed a set of tests in our luggage just in case... I was a couple days late when we left so I figured either we'd get lucky or terribly UNlucky and AF would ruin the vacation.  Thank god for the former!

Happy anniversary to us!

EDD by my dates is June 10th, 2011.

As for the blog name, one, I am obsessed with Billy Joel.  Two, I often do things that don't make sense and have no explanation, so I have said used some form of this phrase with my DH more than once.  It seemed fitting!
